Cuaresma y el tiempo prestado

You can call it Lent. And the sound of the word can remind you that all of us live on time that is lent to us. We are never owners of that time, only stewards. You can call it Cuaresma, a reminder that this is a period of 40 days we can use wisely by devoting some time to think about our life, our path, our soul. There is a Lenten hymn that I like very much, and whatever your faith, I think it is meaningful. Here are two verses from

Come and Find the Quiet Center

Come and find the quiet center in the crowded life we lead,
find the room for hope to enter, find the frame where we are freed.
Clear the chaos and the clutter, clear our eyes that we can see
all the things that really matter, be at peace and simply be.

Silence is a friend who claims us, cools the heat
and slows the pace.
God it is who speaks and names us, knows our being, touches base,
making space within our thinking, lifting shades to show the sun,
raising courage where we're shrinking,
finding scope for faith begun.
